Iranian Diaspora Dashboard

The Iranian Diaspora Dashboard is part of the Iranian Diaspora project funded by the Ebrahimi Program on Iranian Diaspora in Global Perspective, housed at the UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies (CNES). It was created by Roxanne Corbeil, Kevan Harris, and Gilad Wenig. For any inquiries or assistance, please contact cnes@international.ucla.edu.

What’s changed

April 2026

  • Added Europe with data for twelve countries: Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Finland, with a cross-country overview
  • Added Türkiye with population and immigration data from the TÜİK address-based register
  • Added Australia with population, immigration, education, and employment data from the 2021 Australian Census
  • Added U.S. immigration history with permanent resident admissions by category from 1970 to 2023
  • Updated U.S. data to the 2020–2024 American Community Survey, with a revised population estimate of 794,915
  • Added Israel with population data from the Israeli Statistical Abstract
  • Redesigned the site for improved speed, interactivity, and mobile viewing

September 2025

  • Added Canada with population, language, religion, education, employment, and income data from the 2021 Canadian Census

April 2024

  • Dashboard launched with United States and Global data
